Lets make good links

In building my website I've been learning a lot. I've learned how to tag and label things appropriately so they can get found. If I can't label something correctly it gets lost in the crowd, or worse it doesn't even show up.  I've also learned that I have a lot to learn about creating a website.
This experience is a lot like learning Tarot. The cards say different things depending on what you ask and where they land. The basic meanings are just the beginning of their meanings. Take for instance the six of cups.

Happy

It's a happy card that is about fond memories and childhood. I see it as optimistic and super cheerful if a bit fantastical.  

Contentment

Add it up with the 10 of cups and it reads of a happy and stable family life. One that is full of joy and love.

Movement

Pair it with the 6 of swords and it says to let your past go and move on. It's all about the nuances and the placements of the Tarot cards. Each position and placement brings a depth and richness to the individual cards that they can't have by themselves.

Where each card lands and which ones are around them ultimately tells the story that is needed to be told at this time. That's why, as with web building, it's so important to ask the right questions. If you don't input the proper information you won't get a pertinent result. Bad links are bad links: on the web, in Tarot, and in life.

A New Year and a New Journey

I'm excited about this fresh new year that is stretching out before me. It's like a clean slate and I only have a few traces of old dust to clear off before I make it mine. I did a one card reading just to get a feel for what was in store and I pulled The World. I used my Steampunk Tarot deck. That I received for my birthday last year. I love the imagery in this deck and hope for more decks from Barbara Moore and Aly Fell.

This is one of my favorite cards and for me it symbolizes, balance, security, and motion. My goals are in reach, I just need to stretch for them.  It also tells me that I am on the right track and where I belong. 

 It's a comfort to start the year with such a positive message.Now I just have to live it!

My wonderful husband is building me a website so I can share my love of Tarot with the world. It should be operational soon! I'm looking forward to reviewing decks and discussing the cards, as well as sharing readings I do for myself and how they turn out. This is going to be a great adventure!
